General Manager Finance

A General Manager of Plant Finance and Accounts ( from the Manufacturing Industry) should :

Responsibilities :

• Lead a plant's financial operations, encompassing financial planning, budgeting, accounting, internal controls, and compliance with local and international regulations and standards.
• Key responsibilities : cost efficiency, financial reporting, managing the finance and accounting team, and serving as a finance business partner to the Plant Head by providing strategic financial insights and recommendations to improve overall plant performance.
• Financial Planning & Analysis : Manage and oversee budgeting, forecasting, and the financial planning process to drive strategic decisions.
• Accounting and Reporting : Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and the preparation of timely and insightful financial reports for management.
• Compliance & Internal Controls : Establish and maintain robust internal controls and ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations, corporate policies, and internal SOPs.
• Cost Management & Efficiency : Lead initiatives to optimize financial operations, enhance cost efficiency, and provide financial analysis for plant costs and variances to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Team Leadership : Build, lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance and accounting team within the plant, fostering adherence to standards and high performance.
• Risk Management : Identify and manage financial risks and act as a custodian of the organization's risk register.
• Stakeholder & Auditor Relations : Coordinate with auditors, manage audit processes, and provide financial information and insights to senior management, stakeholders, and the plant head.
• Business Partnership : Serve as a finance business partner to the Plant Head, providing financial guidance and support for improving plant performance and achieving operational goals.
