Senior Privacy & FOI Lawyers – Federal Government Roles

Allygroup is seeking experienced Senior Privacy and FOI Lawyers with a strong background in Commonwealth privacy law. This is a unique opportunity for motivated and capable professionals to contribute to a high-profile Commonwealth agency in Canberra that values integrity, professionalism, and work / life balance.

The Role

We have multiple contract opportunities available at the EL1 and EL2 levels across both Privacy and FOI areas. These roles range from 6 to 12 months and offer the chance to work on impactful legal matters within a collaborative, high-performing team.

Privacy Lawyers will be involved in :

Investigating privacy incidents

Managing claims

Drafting and refining internal guidance

Supporting cross-team collaboration

• Candidates with both privacy and commercial legal experience may also be considered for more senior, commercially focused responsibilities.

FOI Lawyers will focus on :

Resolving a backlog of OAIC matters

Applying strong FOI expertise

Making confident decisions

Communicating effectively with stakeholders

Eligibility

Applicants must be Australian citizens, be qualified as a Lawyer and hold a NV1 security clearance or higher.
