Our client is a fast-growing B2C OTT entertainment platform serving millions of users across web, mobile, and TV ecosystems. They are expanding their leadership team to build high-quality, high-performing digital experiences.
Role Overview :
As the Product Design Head, you will oversee the complete design functionleading UX, UI, Research, and Interaction Design for all consumer-facing products across Web, Android, iOS, Connected TV, Smart TV devices, and emerging platforms. You will define the design vision, scale the design team, and partner with product, engineering, content, and marketing to deliver world-class OTT user experiences.
Key Responsibilities :
Design Leadership :
- Own and drive the end-to-end product design strategy for the OTT experience across mobile, web, and TV.
- Define the design vision, principles, and guidelines that align with product and business goals.
- Build, mentor, and scale a high-performing multidisciplinary design team (UX, UI, IxD, Visual Design, Design Research).
- Establish design culture, quality standards, and processes across the organization.
User Experience & Interaction Design :
Oversee design for content discovery, personalization, playback UX, onboarding, subscription flows, and engagement funnels.Create intuitive interaction models for remote-based navigation, smart TVs, CTVs, FireTV, and Apple TV.Ensure seamless and consistent experiences across multiple device ecosystems and screen formats.Research & Insights :
Drive user research, usability testing, A / B experiments, heuristic evaluations, and competitive studies.Translate user insights, analytics, and behavioral data into actionable design opportunities.Partner with Data & Product teams to define and monitor UX metrics (task success, drop-offs, usability, time on platform, engagement).Product Collaboration :
Work closely with Product & Engineering to define feature requirements, roadmaps, and release timelines.Collaborate with Content, Growth, and Marketing on design support for campaigns, brand experience, and visual consistency.Ensure feasibility of designs by partnering closely with engineering teams during development cycles.Design Systems & Standards :
Own and evolve the OTT-wide design system, ensuring scalability, consistency, and accessibility.Set guidelines for color, typography, iconography, motion graphics across all Skills & Qualifications :10-15+ years of experience in product design, with at least 5 years in a leadership / management role.Mandatory experience designing for B2C consumer apps; strong preference for OTT, media, or entertainment platforms.Strong expertise across mobile, web, smart TV, connected devices, and multi-screen design.Deep understanding of visual design, UX frameworks, user research methodologies, and behavioralpsychology.
Proficient with modern design tools : Figma, Sketch, Adobe Suite, Prototyping tools.Proven experience building and scaling design systems.Strong portfolio demonstrating high-quality interaction design and consumer-facing product work.Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management :Experience with global OTT standards and regional content UX.Knowledge of motion design, animation, and micro-interactions.Experience collaborating with data science teams for personalization-driven experiences.Understanding of accessibility guidelines (WCAG) and cross-cultural design.(ref : hirist.tech)
