We are looking for a Category Associate to join our high-impact Category team at Foxtale. In this role, you’ll be working to drive the growth of some of our most important product categories. You’ll be at the intersection of data, strategy, and execution - turning diverse inputs like sales data, marketplace insights, consumer trends, and seasonality into clear strategies that shape how we launch products, price them, market them, and scale them across channels.
This role is perfect for someone who loves diving deep into numbers but can also zoom out to see the bigger picture. Your work won’t just stop at insights; you’ll influence product launches, guide business decisions, and ensure strategies translate into results across the organization.
Key Responsibilities :
- Category Analysis : Deep-dive into subcategories (e.g., sunscreens, moisturizers, face washes) to understand consumer behavior, sales performance, and competitive landscape.
- Data Synthesis : Leverage multiple data sources (internal sales, marketplace data, search trends, climate / seasonality, and social media trends) to generate insights.
- Strategy Development : Work with the SVP – Category to shape strategies on product positioning, pricing, discounting, and marketing interventions.
- New Launch Planning : Analyze whitespace opportunities, consumer needs, and competitor offerings to recommend new product launches and go-to-market strategies.
- Execution & Monitoring : Partner with cross-functional teams (marketing, sales, supply chain, product) to ensure recommendations are implemented. Track performance, identify gaps, and refine strategies as needed.
- Market Intelligence : Stay on top of category and industry trends, including consumer preferences, competitor playbooks, and cultural shifts.
What We’re Looking For :
1–4 years of experience in strategy, consulting, business analytics, category management, or related roles.Strong analytical skills with the ability to work with data, identify patterns, and draw actionable insights.Advanced Excel skills necessaryAbility to think big picture while staying detail-oriented.Strong communication skills - able to structure and present insights clearly.Self-starter with bias for action, able to work in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.Passion for consumer-first thinking and an interest in the consumer, beauty, or personal care space is a plus.
