Job Summary :
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Merchandiser – Home Division to manage product development, sampling, vendor coordination, and order execution for our home product line. The ideal candidate will work closely with design, sourcing, production, and sales teams to ensure timely delivery of high-quality products that meet buyer expectations and market trends.
Key Responsibilities :
- Product Development :
- Coordinate with buyers and designers to develop new products for the home division (e.g., home textiles, décor, kitchenware, furnishings, etc.).
- Understand buyer requirements, design briefs, and trend directions to create suitable collections.
- Sampling & Costing :
- Manage sampling timelines, material sourcing, and vendor follow-ups.
- Prepare cost sheets and negotiate prices with suppliers / factories.
- Ensure samples meet quality and aesthetic standards before submission.
- Order Management :
- Follow up with vendors for production status, quality checks, and shipment schedules.
- Coordinate with logistics and documentation teams to ensure smooth dispatch and delivery.
- Maintain accurate order tracking reports and ensure on-time fulfillment.
- Vendor & Buyer Coordination :
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, factories, and buyers.
- Communicate regularly to provide updates, resolve queries, and manage expectations.
- Market & Trend Analysis :
- Stay updated on home décor trends, materials, colors, and styles.
- Provide feedback to the design and sourcing teams on market opportunities and consumer preferences.
Requirements :
Bachelor's degree in Textiles / Fashion / Home Furnishing / Business / Merchandising or a related field.2–5 years of experience in merchandising within the home furnishing or lifestyle segment .Strong understanding of product development, costing, and export documentation.Excellent communication, negotiation, and vendor management skills.Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); experience with ERP or PLM systems preferred.Ability to multitask, meet deadlines, and work in a fast-paced environment.Skills Required
