Job Overview
As an Electronics Hardware Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and testing products which will be deployed in Electric vehicles. Your responsibilities will span from initial conceptualization to field deployment. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams, analyze hardware issues, and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
Responsibilities
- Create hardware architecture diagram based on the requirements
- Select components to meet technical and commercial requirements
- Ideate circuits and simulate them using software tools for validation
- Create and prototype electronic circuits and systems
- Guide PCB designers to create optimized layout considering technical and commercial aspects
- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues during testing phases
- Investigate hardware failures and identify their root causes, and create reports
- Create and maintain engineering documentation, including design specifications, test plans, and reports
- Work closely with software engineers, firmware developers, and other team members to integrate hardware with software systems
- Participate in product improvement exercises such as cost optimization, failure reduction etc
Key skills
Good fundamentals of electrical and electronics engineeringHands-on experience with circuit simulation tools (e.g., LTspice, MATLAB / Simulink)Familiarity with testing equipment like DSO, multimeters, FRA etcKnowledge of PCB layout guidelines for EMI-EMC and ease of manufacturingHands-on or theoretical understanding of electrical and mechanical designs of transformersGood communication and teamwork abilities.Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field
Minimum 1 year of work experience in embedded / electronics hardware design and development
