Role Purpose : The main objective of the Assistant Manager - Finance at Practo is to assist in the management of all financial tasks of the company, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial analyses to support strategic business decisions.
Key Responsibilities :
- Oversee the end-to-end AR process, including invoice generation, collections, aging analysis, and customer account reconciliation.
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting of AR metrics and KPIs.
- Drive process improvements in AR to enhance efficiency and reduce DSO (Days Sales Outstanding).
- Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities in coordination with the wider finance team.
- Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements and internal reports.
- Liaise with statutory auditors and internal auditors to facilitate audit processes.
- Provide all necessary documentation, reconciliations, and explanations required during audits.
- Work closely with business teams (Sales, Operations, Customer Service) to resolve billing, collection, and accounting issues.
- Participate in cross-functional projects and process improvement initiatives.
Required Skills / Qualifications :
CA / CMA / MBA Finance / M.Com with relevant experience.4â€'6 years of experience in core finance functions, particularly in AR, reporting, and audit coordination.Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.Excellent knowledge of financial regulations and accounting processes.Effective communication and leadership skills.Hands-on experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.).Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and financial analysis.Work Environment / Location : This is a full-time role based in our Bengaluru office.
