PERFORMANCE MEASUREMENT & PLANNING :
Manage month-end, quarter-end and year-end reporting processes, with the following specific responsibilities :
- Working closely with the India and Middle East & Africa commercial team to prepare monthly P&L landing estimates, built through having a strong understanding of business trends, key drivers and emerging opportunities
- Helping build detailed monthly regional performance reports including market wise, brand wise and customer wise Net Sales Value, Gross Margin %, Direct Brand Contribution, Forecasts, Actuals and root causing variances to Budgeted numbers.
- Compiling full year projected regional and market wise P&Ls based on S&OP volume forecasts received from Demand planning team
- Preparing and distributing various monthly performance management reports to key regional stakeholders.
- Supporting preparation, upload, and submission of the regional Budgets and in year forecasts, by building the necessary templates, providing guidance to the commercial teams for inputs needed and ensuring accuracy of submissions in Bacardi Financial Reporting Systems (Cognos TM1)
- Working seamlessly with the global GTR Finance team and carrying out any other ad-hoc projects as required
COMMERCIAL DECISION SUPPORT :
Act as business partner to Regional Director, Sales Managers and Customer Marketing Manager with the following specific responsibilities :
Preparing customer profitability models for new customer acquisition, negotiating better trade terms or opening of a new market locationSupporting the Commercial team in identifying opportunities to take price increase and drive margin in annual customer negotiationsPreparing annual commercial plans for review and approval by Regional Director and Finance ManagerSupporting Regional Finance Manager in quarterly customer credit reviews and evaluationsWork with teams to ensure all pricing and promotion implemented within guidelines or exceptions are approved with Revenue Growth Management team.Ensuring integrity of price list in the system by reviewing the completeness and correctnessPreparing gross to net and rebate accruals calculations for customers and ensuring accuracy of accrual postings through MJEs during month ends.Reviewing adequacy of accrual versus actual monthly invoice bookings and based on the Stock in Hand with customersMARKETING DECISION SUPPORT :
Reviewing monthly A&P Budget Planner vs. Annual A&P budget and challenge regional CMM lead and customer planners on optimizing ROI on incremental A&P spendsReporting monthly actual A&P spends and highlighting variances as well as discrepancies and ensuring compliance of Bacardi accounting policiesConduct M&E and ROI analysis to assess effectiveness of marketing expenditure and to help allocate resource appropriatelySupporting code set up tasks in Bacardi Financial systems for uploading budgets and recording actual spending.STRUCTURE COST DECISION SUPPORT
To support financial and operational planning, budgeting, forecasting and analytics for structure costs
Monthly reporting and monitoring of structure costs against Budgets and Latest Estimates, challenging markets where overspends occurEmbed culture of cost control within regional commercial teamsEnsure cross charges allocated from domestic teams are monitored monthlyShare variance analysis of Travel & Expenditure actual spends vs Budget and update Forecast on monthly basisSKILLS - THE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE NEEDED TO CREATE YOUR LEGACY
4-5 years of relevant experience in financial / strategic analysis gained from experience in a consumer goods / retail environment or professional servicesAdvanced Excel skills, ability to build advanced excel models, explain variances to estimates, identify business risks and opportunities, and make appropriate recommendationsAbility to manage projects / tasks independently to ensure successful delivery (on time and within budget) while identifying potential issues / risks. Able to prioritize effectively and manage workload against tight deadlinesFundamental understanding of internal controls, standards, and processes to ensure accuracy and consistency in data used for decision-making, internal / external reporting and communicationsStrong communication, influencing, presentation & collaboration skills required in order to achieve results across the organisationHigh comfort modelling & understanding large & complex data sets into useful information & insightsEducation : Accounting qualifications (CA or equivalent).
