This role reports into Head Office in Sydney and is responsible for day-to-day financial operations, reporting, and process improvement. The Finance Manager will oversee the integrity of financial data, compliance, and team development while supporting strategic business outcomes
Key Responsibilities
Build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholdersDrive continuous improvement of finance systems and collaboration with external accountantsPreparation, review and filing of statuary monthly and quarterly returns, including GST, IAS and Payroll Tax returnsEnsure financial compliance with all regulatory and statutory obligationsEnsure timely reconciliation of balance sheet accounts and internal controlsLead core accounting functions including AP, AR, general ledger, and bank reconciliationsMentor and support junior finance staff to foster a collaborative, high-performing teamOversee daily cash flow, treasury functions, and financial forecastingOversee payroll and ensure compliance with awards, tax, and internal policiesPrepare accurate monthly management reports and board packs with financial insightsAbout You
CA / CPA qualified with 5+ years of experience of accounting standards and financial regulationsExperience in Australia accounting and tax is a mustExpertise in bookkeeping, preparing financial statements and annual tax returnsPreparation, reviewing and filing statuary monthly and quarterly returnsHas worked directly with stakeholdersEffective communicator with ability to collaborate across departmentsExcellent attention to detail and organizational skillsExperience in a Finance Manager, Financial Controller, or Senior Accountant roleProactive, hands-on approach and commitment to continuous improvementProficient in Excel and accounting systems such as NetSuite, TechOne, Xero, or MYOBStrong financial reporting, analytical, and problem-solving skillsHow to apply
