Job Summary :

This role is critical for enhancing the reliability and efficiency of our mainframe system.

The primary focus will be on developing and maintaining solutions to provide incident reduction and increased stability through automation handling of system events and alerting.

Your expertise will help ensure smooth, uninterrupted operation of our mainframe systems to reduce risk and enhance productivity.

Job Duties :

• Develop and maintain tools and solutions, written in REXX / CLIST, to support operational functions and efficiency.
• Administer event-driven management system (BMC AMI OPS Automation) to generate automated responses to system events and provide alerts to various monitoring systems.
• Manage the automated shut down and startup of IPL using BMC AMI OPS.
• Collaborate with team and other department members to understand automation requirements.
• Analyze and suggest improvements to mainframe automation architecture to drive continuous improvement to optimize performance and Provide / maintain documentation for automated solutions and standards.
• Work with vendors for system support / problem resolution.
• Participate in business continuance Participate in technical operations on-call support rotation to provide triage, technical analysis, problem resolution.
