Job descriptionLead experience in IBM MQ product installation, upgrades, maintenance, configurations, and troubleshooting. Design the MQ architecture pattern for the message processing flow as per new application requirements. Define essential MQ objects including queues, channels, process definitions, and Topics. Perform MQ online monitoring and set up alerts and monitoring using tools like MQ explorer, Omegamon for MQ, and TEPS. Investigate MQ CPU usage using SMF statistics. Execute IBM MQ utilities to handle MQ queue messages (e.g., backup, deleting specific records). Coordinate with IBM and ISV Vendors for ticketing incidents / problems, software downloads, and escalations. Experience in IBM MQ product installation, upgrades, maintenance, configurations, and troubleshooting. Expertise in administrating, alert setup, and monitoring the message process using tools like MQ explorer, Omegamon for MQ, and TEPS. Ability to design the MQ architecture pattern for the message processing flow and define MQ objects (queues, channel, Topic, etc.) Skilled at executing IBM MQ utilities to handle MQ queue messages (backup, deleting a particular records etc.) Good understanding of messaging interfaces and connections to other IBM products (such as CICS, DB2, IMS) and third-party application servers. Ability to perform MQ online monitoring and investigate MQ CPU usage using SMF statistics analyze. Knowledge with MQSeries and MQClients on distributed platforms. Knowledge of Mainframe zOS, JCL, VSAM, ISPF, and COBOL. Experience with IBM and ISV Vendor Coordination for ticketing incidents / problems, SW downloads, and escalations.
