Job description
The Personal Brand Manager is responsible for strategically defining, building, and protecting the public image, credibility, and influence of the CMD, specifically managing the duality of his roles as the leader of a major corporation and the President of the Indian Chamber of Commerce (ICC).
This role requires sophisticated communication, political acumen, crisis management, and expert-level content creation across all public platforms, including social media, traditional media, and key speaking engagements.
1. Unified Narrative and Brand Strategy
- Strategic Alignment : Develop a cohesive personal branding strategy that seamlessly integrates the CMD's corporate vision (e.g., industry expertise, company growth, innovation) with his policy advocacy role as ICC President (e.g., economic reform, sector growth, national development).
- Messaging Pillars : Define and maintain consistent messaging pillars, ensuring every communication reinforces the CMD's status as a national economic statesman and a thought leader.
- Media Positioning : Proactively position the CMD for high-value media opportunities (interviews, features, op-eds) that utilize the credibility of the ICC title to discuss broader economic and policy issues, simultaneously elevating the profile of the core company.
2. Communication and Public Relations (PR)
PR Management : Act as the CMD's primary liaison with all media outlets and PR agencies, managing inbound requests and leading proactive outreach.Crisis & Reputation Management : Develop and execute rapid-response communication strategies for sensitive issues related to the CMD, the company, or the Chamber, ensuring message discipline and minimal reputational damage.Briefing & Vetting : Prepare comprehensive briefing documents for all public appearances, interviews, and internal town halls, including detailed Q&A logs and key message talking points (KMPs) for both corporate and policy contexts.3. Speechwriting and Content Leadership
Speech Crafting : Research, draft, and finalize all major speeches, keynote addresses, and opening / closing remarks for the CMD, particularly those delivered in his capacity as ICC President to government, global delegates, and industry leaders.Thought Leadership Content : Oversee the creation of all long-form content, including op-eds, published articles, LinkedIn Pulse posts, and annual statements, ensuring a high level of intellectual rigor and authoritative voice.Policy Synthesis : Translate complex ICC policy positions and industry white papers into accessible, impactful, and clear language for public consumption.4. Digital Presence and Social Media Management
Social Strategy : Develop and manage the CMD's entire digital footprint, primarily focusing on Instagram, Facebook LinkedIn and X (formerly Twitter) to cultivate a professional, high-engagement following.Content Curation : Manage the daily content flow, balancing authentic personal insights, company news, and policy commentary related to the Indian economy and global trade.Digital Engagement : Strategically monitor and manage comments, replies, and direct messages, ensuring the CMD's online interactions are appropriate, timely, and on-brand.Apply to : hr.od@shyamgroup.com
