Position Title : Deputy General Manager (DGM)

Role Overview
The DGM will lead end-to-end plant operations for the clients solvent extraction unit. This role is responsible for achieving production, quality, safety, and cost targets while ensuring regulatory compliance and operational excellence. The individual will drive process improvements, manage cross-functional teams, and support strategic growth initiatives in the edible oil & solvent sector.
Key Responsibilities
1. Plant Operations Management
- Lead day-to-day operations of the solvent extraction and refining units.
- Monitor process parameters and optimize extraction efficiency, oil recovery, and throughput.
- Implement SOPs for smooth and safe plant operations.
2. Production Planning & Execution
Prepare daily / monthly production plans in line with business requirements.Ensure availability of raw materials, chemicals, utilities, and manpower.Achieve production targets with minimal downtime.3. Quality & Compliance
Ensure product quality as per FSSAI, BIS, and industry standards.Maintain strict compliance with environmental, safety, and pollution control norms.Coordinate with QA / QC for regular audits and testing.4. Maintenance & Engineering
Oversee preventive and predictive maintenance of mechanical and electrical equipment.Ensure optimum functioning of extractors, DTs, boilers, cooling towers, and refinery machinery.Drive automation and technology adoption for efficiency.5. Safety, Health & Environment (SHE)
Implement safety protocols for handling solvents (Hexane), chemicals, and high-temperature systems.Conduct regular safety drills, risk assessments, and HAZOP studies.Ensure compliance with PESO, fire safety, and environmental guidelines.6. Team Leadership & Development
Lead, mentor, and develop shift in-charges, supervisors, and technical teams.Foster a culture of discipline, high performance, and continuous learning.Manage cross-functional coordination among operations, maintenance, and quality teams.
