Role : Junior Journalist and Content Writer :

Location : REMOTE (India

Time Zone : GMT (UK Time)

Start Date : ASAP

Distilled Post is proud to welcome fresh voices and emerging writers who are keen to break into international journalism, media, and publishing. In this role, you will assist our in-house team by producing blog posts, features, guides, and marketing copy for our UK-based digital health publication. You will conduct research in our core industries (healthcare, business, tech, finance) and write original, high-quality articles geared to early-career professionals and new graduates trying to enter international media.

Ultimately, you’ll help us publish work that appeals to our target audiences : industry leaders, executives, and individuals eager to stay ahead in tech, health, and business.

Main Responsibilities

  • Produce well-researched, insightful articles (op-eds, features, explainers) on healthcare, business, technology, policy, and culture
  • Assist in the expansion of Distilled Post’s reach and voice
  • Collaborate with other writers, editors, and teams on special projects
  • Perform research using credible sources (papers, reports, interviews)
  • Write clear marketing copy and promotional content for our services and offerings
  • Draft and structure content using CMS (WordPress or HTML)
  • Proofread and polish your own work prior to submission
  • Submit drafts to editors for review and feedback
  • Coordinate with marketing and design teams to add visuals or media
  • Perform basic keyword research and adhere to SEO best practices
  • Maintain consistency in tone, style, formatting, and voice across content

What We Are Looking For

  • Passion and drive to write rigorous articles on a weekly or biweekly schedule
  • A keen interest in healthcare, business, tech, and global issues
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Ability to provide deeper analysis rather than surface-level reporting
  • Ability to contextualise news using data, archives, and credible sources
  • Bonus : proficiency in another language or regional context

    • Main Qualifications

  • University degree (or currently pursuing) or equivalent experience
  • Excellent writing skills with great attention to detail
  • Some demonstrated interest or experience in politics, health, economics, or business
  • A collaborative mindset and eagerness to grow within an ambitious, evolving project

  • This is a remote role (work from home)
  • Flexible schedule, but you will need to meet deadlines and coordinate with UK time zones
  • The role is open to applicants based in Manila (or nearby, Philippine-based)
