1st Year landscaper construction apprentice

We are seeking a candidate for our established host client, who have a footprint in cities throughout Queensland in particular, Townsville.  Their essential services include commercial and residential requirements and have been in business for close to 40 years and now seeking a trainee to join their team and is focused to complete a  3-year Landscaping apprenticeship.

Tasks involve :

• Planting, building and renovation of gardens
• Grassed areas - soil preparation, laying of turf
• Paving and building retaining walls
• Maintaining properties and structures
• Operating skid tree loaders and other relevant machinery
• Undertaking irrigation, construction work, drainage systems and maintenance activities

Requirements :

• A genuine interest in working outdoors with your hands!
• Understand the importance of workplace health and safety
• Physically able for labour intensive work
• Construction White Card
• Manual Driver’s licence required
• Successful applicants will be required to pass an aptitude test, and a pre-employment medical including drug and alcohol testing.

Who We Are?

Community Solutions  is a non-for-profit organisation operating as a commercial business, providing apprentices and trainees to a variety of different businesses throughout Queensland. We provide apprentices and trainees important career guidance and opportunity to earn while they learn. Dedicated Field Officers are assigned to apprentices and trainees to provide ongoing support to completing their chosen trade qualification.
