Overview The primary purpose of the Data Migration Developer / Analyst role is the design and development of extract, transform and load processes. This role works closely with the customer to understand their business processes and data needs. The secondary purpose is to provide support to the business and technology departments to ensure availability of required information and data. The role will also support key data migration activities across strategic initiatives, projects as well new client wins. Key Accountabilities and main responsibilities Strategic Focus

Operational Management
Connect with different stake holders of the project to get the clear development objectiveWork with development team members to achieve the delivery timelinesProvide solution to the team members for any technical challengesCo-ordinate with TA / TBA, SDM, Technical Lead and Testing team to resolve any blockers for the projectMaintain the code quality and reusability as per LinkGroup standardsProcess improvement for releasing bug free productsPromote a culture of learning latest on technologies and keep the team members engagedProvide support to the development and production environmentsInvolvement in database upgrades and migration planningRaise change controls and defectsProvide support to the business and demonstrate a good understanding of Share Registry and Funds AdministrationProvide the relevant requirements and advice for the development and implementation of data transformationsPrevent system downtime and performance degradation by design, development and implementation of the necessary administration and maintenance proceduresPrevent problems by understanding new and existing applications across the organisation, system capabilities and limitationsPeople Leadership

6-8 yrs of relevant experience in data migration and database developmentExperience using various ETL tools like SSIS, Informatica. Development experience on Oracle, MS SQL database objects. Working knowledge of various reporting tools like power bi, qlik, SSRS, alteryx, webfocus, xceptor etc..Experience in facilitating the delivery of successful Data Migration initiatives and solutions, across complex environments.Solid Technical background and experience in the Data Migration landscape including :Data cleaning, updating, editing, validation and conversion techniquesData management including modification, manipulation and replicationDatabase concepts including tables, data types, instances, fields, connection strings, records and protocolsRelational, hierarchical and object oriented database architectures and structureA good understanding of database architecture, integration issues, third party reporting and data extraction toolsSystem testing proceduresKnowledge and understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)Knowledge of structured programming methodology, data analysis and design skillsExcellent communication skills (verbal and written) and the ability to communicate to staff across all levels within the organisationExcellent analytical and problem solving skillsAbility to respond to user’s requirements and meet deadlinesProject and time management skillsAvailability to provide after-hours supportBroad knowledge of, or exposure to, Superannuation Administration, Share Registry or Financial ServicesAbility to work well under pressure and to balance competing priorities to deliver timely outcomesMust have a strong team focus and be able to work with minimal supervisionExcellent organisational and documentation skillsA working knowledge of MS office products
