Job Summary : The Application Support Specialist is responsible for creating, managing, and auditing user IDs and related permissions within the organization's applications. This role ensures secure access to applications, resolves user access issues, and maintains accurate user account information. The specialist also contributes to overall application support by resolving incidents and troubleshooting problems.
Key Responsibilities :
- User ID Management :
- Create new user accounts in various applications, following established procedures.
- Manage existing user accounts, including modifying permissions, disabling accounts, and updating contact information.
- Assign and revoke access privileges based on job roles and organizational policies.
- Access Audit and Compliance :
- Regularly audit user access to applications to ensure adherence to security policies.
- Identify and address any access violations or inconsistencies.
- Maintain accurate records of user IDs and permissions.
- Incident Management and Troubleshooting :
- Receive and log support requests related to user ID issues.
- Troubleshoot access problems and provide timely resolutions.
- Escalate unresolved issues to appropriate support levels.
- Application Support :
- Assist with general application support tasks, including troubleshooting and resolving common issues.
- Participate in application support rotations as needed.
- Documentation and Communication :
- Maintain and update relevant documentation, including procedures for user ID creation and access management.
- Communicate with users and other stakeholders regarding access issues and changes.
- Associate's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Strong understanding of user access management principles and security practices.
- Experience with various application support tools and platforms.

Skills :
