Roles and Responsibilities

Should have worked in Support or Monitoring Function

Hands on experience of Administration, management and

monitoring of following equipment :

Firewall (PaloAlto and Checkpoint)

Intrusion Prevention System (IBM or Cisco or Tipping Point)

Remote access and IPSec VPN

Routers, Switches and WiFi

F5 Load Balancer and Web Based Application Firewall

Hands on experience and knowledge for Layer2 and Layer3

Switching and routing protocols

Hands on Experience with WAF Analysis

Hands on experience and knowledge on the Vulnerability

Scanning and Analysis of the report

Hands on Experience with VPN access review, Analysis and

reporting

Incident Resolution in Co-ordination with SOC team

Excellent Troubleshooting Skills

Understanding of Network and Internet Connectivity

Desirable :

Knowledge of ISO Information Security Management

standards.

Knowledge of Firewall Rule Review process and its related

products

Knowledge of following Technology

Advance Persistent Threat (APT and its Protection)

Distributed Denial Of Service (DDoS) attack detection and

response mechanism

General understanding of Security Operations Center (SOC)

co-ordination

Job Profile Administration and monitoring of Security devices such as Firewall, IPS and

Network devices such as L2 or L3 Switches, WIFI, Routers, WAF, Load

Balancers and NAC

Interaction or Co-ordination with different departments (Business and

Systems) for their different Network connectivity requirement (which

involves firewall configuration changes)

Review and Analysis of WAF or Load Balancer

Vulnerability Scanning reporting and MIS

VPN access review, Analysis and reporting

Incident Resolution in Co-ordination with SOC team

Review of Firewall Access Control logs and preparing the reports

Creation or deletion and modification of Firewall policies as per requirement

after change management process

Will perform day-to-day health Monitoring of Firewall, IPS and other tools

Ensure compliance to SLA, Uptime of Network Security equipment, process

adherence and process improvisation

Co-ordination with stakeholders and vendors, build and maintain positive

working relationships with them Regular MIS Reporting as per the Standard

Operating Procedure

Internal Department Documentation (Change Management, Service

Request Management etc.)
