Role :
Workforce Management (WFM) Senior Advanced Scheduling Specialist is a key contributor to optimizing labor deployment across retail operations. This role focuses on designing, configuring, and maintaining advanced scheduling strategies using WFM platforms (e.g., Dayforce) to ensure compliance, cost efficiency, and alignment with business goals.
Responsibilities :
- Design and implement advanced scheduling strategies tailored to retail business needs, including peak periods, seasonal demands, and labor compliance.
- Configure and maintain scheduling rules within the WFM system to support business policies, union agreements, and labor laws.
- Use AI to design and refine scheduling logic, applying predictive and generative tools to balance capacity, demand, and compliance while continuously improving rule effectiveness.
- Analyze workforce data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for optimization.
- Collaborate with global / local retail operations, WFM managers and HR process managers to ensure schedules align with operational goals and customer traffic patterns.
- Support system upgrades and enhancements, including testing and documentation of scheduling features.
- Train and support end-users on scheduling tools and best practices.
- Monitor schedule adherence and forecast accuracy, providing insights and recommendations to improve labor utilization.
- Ensure compliance with local labor regulations, rest and meal break rules, and contractual obligations.
- Act as a subject matter expert in workforce scheduling, contributing to strategic workforce planning initiatives.
Work Experience :
5+ years of experience in workforce management, with a focus on scheduling in a retail environment.Strong expertise in WFM platforms such as Dayforce, Kronos, or Reflexis.Deep understanding of retail labor dynamics, compliance requirements, and scheduling optimization.Proficiency in data analysis tools (Excel, Power BI, or similar).Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, multi-location retail environment.
