Job Summary :
Mechanical Engineer (Piping) with marine and offshore project experience to support piping design, stress analysis, and layout activities. The role involves preparing piping system designs, specifications, and drawings in compliance with class, regulatory, and project requirements, while coordinating with multidisciplinary teams and vendors.
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop and review piping layouts, isometrics etc
- Perform pipe stress analysis
- Perform piping system flow analysis.
- Prepare piping material specifications, valve data sheets, and line lists.
- Ensure piping designs comply with ASME, API, ASTM, and offshore classification society rules (ABS, DNV, BV).
- Coordinate with process, structural, electrical, and naval architecture teams for system integration.
- Review vendor drawings and equipment GA for piping interfaces.
- Support 3D modeling in Cadmatic, or similar tools.
- Generate isometric drawings, BOMs, and MTOs for procurement and fabrication.
- Provide technical support during fabrication, installation, and offshore commissioning.
- Participate in design reviews, HAZOP, and constructability assessments.
Required Skills & Competencies :
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering.3–6 years of relevant experience in piping design and engineering for offshore projects (FPSO preferred).Proficiency in pipe flow analyis, AutoCAD, Cadmatic, or equivalent tools.Strong knowledge of piping design codes and standards (ASME B31.3, B31.8, API, ASTM, ISO).Good problem-solving and teamwork skills.Skills Required
