Senior PowerBI Developer

Collabera is currently seeking experienced Senior PowerBI Developer professional for one of its leading financial customer to lead the development of business intelligence solutions that drive data-informed decision-making across credit union operations.
This role demands deep expertise in Power BI, DAX, SQL, and data engineering, with a strong understanding of financial institution (FI) data environments.
Candidate will be responsible for designing, building, and optimizing Power BI dashboards and data models that support reporting, analytics, and strategic initiatives.
Required Skills & Experience :
- 10-15 years of experience in business intelligence, data analytics, or related fields.
- Expertise in Power BI including DAX development for complex calculations.
- Proficiency in SQL for querying and data manipulation.
- Experience working in a financial institution or with financial data.
- Experience with Power BI Service, RLS, and data refresh management.
- Ability to optimize dashboards and models for speed and usability.
- Experience integrating Power BI with tools like Azure, Excel, or other analytics platforms.
Key Responsibilities :
Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports for data visualization and business insights.Create advanced DAX calculations for measures and calculated columns.Design and implement efficient data models in Power BI for performance and scalability.Collaborate with data engineers and analysts to ensure data integration and governance.Implement Row-Level Security (RLS) and manage Power BI Service deployments.Optimize report performance and troubleshoot bottlenecks.Support business users in interpreting and utilizing Power BI reports.Ensure data security and compliance with FI regulations.Mentor junior developers and promote Power BI best practices across teams.Desired Qualifications
