Varahe Analytics - Power BI Developer - ETL / SQL Server

About the Role :

We are looking for a talented Power BI Developer to join our team.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying interactive dashboards and reports using Microsoft Power BI.

You will work closely with business stakeholders and data teams to transform raw data into insightful visualizations that drive data-driven Responsibilities :

• Develop, design, and deploy business intelligence dashboards and reports using Microsoft Power BI.
• Gather and understand business requirements from stakeholders and translate them into technical solutions.
• Connect to and integrate multiple data sources including relational databases, cloud services, Excel files, and APIs.
• Create complex DAX calculations, measures, and calculated columns to support dynamic and interactive reports.
• Optimize Power BI reports for performance and usability.
• Design data models and relationships within Power BI to ensure data accuracy and efficiency.
• Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and business teams to maintain data integrity.
• Implement row-level security (RLS) and other security features to control access to sensitive data.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve issues related to Power BI reports and dashboards.
• Stay updated on new Power BI features, tools, and best practices.
• Train end-users and support teams in Power BI usage and best practices.
• Document BI solutions, processes, and Skills & Qualifications :
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Statistics, Business Analytics, or a related field.
• Proven experience 2 + as a Power BI Developer or similar BI role.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, and Power BI Report Server.
• Expertise in DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) for creating advanced calculations.
• Solid understanding of data modeling, data warehousing, and ETL processes.
• Experience connecting Power BI to diverse data sources such as SQL Server, Oracle, Azure, Excel, SharePoint, etc.
• Knowledge of SQL for querying and manipulating data.
• Familiarity with Power Query (M language) for data transformation.
• Experience implementing Row-Level Security (RLS) and data governance best practices.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment
