Job description

We are looking for a Lead MEAN / MERN Engineer to own the full-stack development lifecycle across frontend, backend, and database layers.

This role requires strong expertise in architecting and building applications with Angular / React, Node.js, Express.js, and MongoDB, along with relational databases.

The Lead Engineer will guide the team, ensure best coding practices, and deliver enterprise-grade web applications.

Key Responsibilities :

Lead the design and development of web applications using MEAN (MongoDB, Express.js, Angular, Node.js) or MERN (MongoDB, Express.js, React, Node.js) stacks.
Build scalable, maintainable, and reusable frontend and backend components.
Design database schemas, queries, and optimizations (MongoDB + relational databases like MySQL / PostgreSQL).
Develop and integrate RESTful APIs and GraphQL for web / mobile applications.
Ensure responsive UI / UX implementation in collaboration with designers.
Optimize application performance, scalability, and security across the stack.
Perform code reviews, technical mentoring, and knowledge sharing with the team.
Collaborate with product managers, business analysts, and QA teams to ensure timely project delivery.

Requirements :

610 years of experience in full-stack development, with at least 3 years in a lead role.

Strong expertise in JavaScript / TypeScript, Node.js, Express.js, MongoDB, and either Angular or React.

Proven experience in database design, indexing, query optimization, and handling large datasets (MongoDB + SQL).

Hands-on experience with REST APIs, GraphQL, authentication & authorization mechanisms (OAuth, JWT).

Solid understanding of frontend frameworks (Angular / React) with responsive UI implementation.

Strong knowledge of application architecture, MVC patterns, and microservices.

Experience with version control (Git) and Agile methodologies.

Familiarity with cloud-hosted applications (AWS / Azure / GCP) is a plus.

Excellent problem-solving, team leadership, and communication skills.

Bachelors / Masters in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
