Head of Wireless Deployment - Network Automation Frameworks

Position Overview :

We are seeking a highly experienced and technically proficient Head of Wireless Deployment to lead our network engineering and deployment efforts from a computer science perspective.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for the full lifecycle of our wireless networks, focusing on the software-defined architecture, automation, data-driven optimization, and scalable management of the network core.

This is a strategic, hands-on leadership role that requires a deep understanding of networking protocols, distributed systems, and modern software development practices.

The role is explicitly focused on the "brains" of the network and does not involve physical hardware or RF engineering.

Key Responsibilities :

• Strategic Leadership : Develop and execute the software-driven strategy for deploying and managing large-scale, high-performance wireless networks (e.g., Wi-Fi, 5G).
• Network Automation : Lead the design, development, and maintenance of a robust automation framework for network provisioning, configuration, and orchestration. Utilize tools like Ansible, Terraform, and custom Python scripts.
• Software-Defined Networking (SDN) : Drive the architectural vision for a software-defined, API-driven network, overseeing the development of network controllers and management plane applications.
• Performance Engineering : Implement real-time monitoring and data collection pipelines to analyze network performance, identify bottlenecks, and drive optimization efforts using advanced analytics and machine learning.
• System Integration : Oversee the technical integration of various network elements, services, and third-party applications to create a cohesive and scalable wireless ecosystem.
• Team Management : Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing team of software engineers, network automation specialists, and data scientists. Foster a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement.
• Security & Compliance : Ensure all network software and configurations adhere to stringent cybersecurity policies and industry best practices.
• Collaboration : Partner with R&D, Product, and SRE teams to define requirements, plan feature rollouts, and troubleshoot complex network issues from a software perspective.
