Financial Analyst

Role Overview

The Incumbent will be a Financial Analyst with strong expertise in the apparel retail sector to partner closely with the CFO in driving the company's global growth agenda. This role will be pivotal in analyzing acquisition targets, evaluating country expansion opportunities, and building financial models to support high-stakes investment decisions.

The ideal candidate brings a deep understanding of retail financial metrics , P&L management , and market evaluation , with the ability to provide clear, data-driven insights that influence strategic direction.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Analysis & Market Expansion

ØConduct detailed financial modeling for potential brand acquisitions, partnerships, and new market entries.

ØDevelop business cases, ROI analysis, and sensitivity scenarios to support CFO's decision-making.

ØEvaluate the financial health, valuation, and synergy potential of target brands.

Market Expansion Support

ØAssess country-level retail dynamics, including consumer spending, pricing, taxation, and regulatory frameworks.

ØAnalyze capital investment requirements, payback periods, and profitability projections for new markets.

ØProvide benchmarks of competitors' financial performance in existing and potential geographies.

Operational & Retail Financial Insights

ØTrack and analyze key retail KPIs (sales per sq. ft., gross margin, inventory turnover, store contribution, EBITDA).

ØPartner with merchandising and buying teams to assess financial implications of assortment strategies.

ØReview and challenge assumptions on sourcing, supply chain, and distribution costs.

Executive Decision Support

ØPrepare investment decks, financial dashboards, and board-level presentations for the CFO.

ØProvide ongoing monitoring of expansion initiatives and acquisitions against planned financial targets.

ØAct as a trusted advisor to the CFO on all retail finance-related expansion initiatives.
