Position Overview : The role would involve shaping the success of
product categories within Nature’s Basket. Your responsibilities span
strategic planning, vendor management, and ensuring the availability of
in-demand products.
Responsibilities :
- Analyze data or insights to determine industry and consumer trends.
- Devise long-term development strategies for product categories.
- Develop exit strategies for unsuccessful products.
- Foster trust relationships with vendors to achieve better pricing and
quality of services.
Place appropriate orders to ensure product availability that meetsconsumer demands.
Determine the positioning of a product category to maximizevisibility.
Liaise with marketing teams to determine competitive pricing andpromotional activities of a product category.
Collaborate with buyers and merchandisers to expand productcategories.
Responsibilities :
Make forecasts for product demand to ensure the sustainability ofinventory.
Assume responsibility of budget development and revenue for thecategory.
Margin discussions with vendors.Qualifications & Skill Requirements :
MBA (Full Time) from a premier institute.Previous experience in category management of 6+ Years.Strong knowledge of category management, marketing, and salesprinciples.
Ability to analyze and develop accurate conclusions to supportcategory decisions based on key data.
An understanding of the market and consumer insights and trends.Strong people management and persuasion skills to manage andinfluence at all levels of the company.
An analytical mind with strategic ability.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
