Environmental Expert - Urban Governance - GPS Advisory (8-13 Yrs)

EY's Government & Public Sector (GPS) Advisory practice is seeking an Environmental Expert to provide advisory support in urban sustainability, pollution management, and compliance with environmental regulations. The role requires strong technical expertise in environmental engineering / management and the ability to integrate climate resilience and sustainability frameworks into municipal governance.

Key Responsibilities

a) Review and monitor environmental safeguards in urban infrastructure and sanitation projects.

b) Advise on NGT / SPCB / CPCB compliance, environmental clearances, and pollution control mechanisms.

c) Support design and monitoring of waste treatment facilities.

d) Integrate climate change adaptation, ESG, and sustainability practices into project planning.

e) Consulting Add-on : Prepare sustainability frameworks, benchmarking studies, and contribute to climate advisory reports for government B.Tech in Environmental Engineering OR Master's in Environmental Science / Studies / Engineering / Planning / Economics / Law

b) Minimum 5 years of professional experience in environmental management

c) Preferred : Big 4 / top-tier consulting experience in sustainability, ESG, or environmental policy advisory.

d) Strong expertise in pollution management, climate resilience, and regulatory frameworks.

e) Excellent analytical and stakeholder coordination skills.
