Job Title : Head of the Department (HOD)

Department : [Mathematics / Commerce / Computer Science]

Qualification : Ph.D. in [Mathematics / Commerce / Computer Science] / M.Phil / Post Graduate with relevant teaching and administrative experience

Experience : Minimum 10 years of teaching experience (with at least 3 years in an administrative or HOD role)

Reporting To : Principal / Academic Director

Job Description

Key Responsibilities :

• Lead the academic and administrative functions of the [Subject] Department.
• Plan, design, and implement the curriculum as per University / Institutional guidelines.
• Supervise faculty performance, teaching quality, and student outcomes.
• Organize departmental meetings, academic reviews, and research activities.
• Ensure compliance with accreditation and university standards (NAAC, AICTE, UGC, etc.).
• Foster a positive academic environment encouraging innovation, teamwork, and student engagement.
• Mentor and guide faculty members for research publications, FDPs, and higher studies.
• Coordinate examinations, internal assessments, and results analysis.
• Liaise with the Principal and Management for department planning, budgeting, and development.
• Handle student grievances and maintain discipline within the department.
