Qualys is seeking a Lead Front-end Engineer to join our team. As a Lead Front-end Engineer, you'll be tasked with creating modern, intuitive, data-driven, progressive webapps and mobile apps for our multiple SaaS products. We’re looking for someone who is passionate about front-end technologies and who enjoys the unique responsibility of helping to define the customer experience.
Responsibilities
- You will collaborate with a UX / UI designer and other front-end and middle-tier engineers to Lead, Design, Prototype, and Build technical projects and initiatives across organization.
- You will mentor / coach other frontend engineers
- Hands-on development of proof of concepts and evaluation of new technologies
- Stay on the leading edge of technologies, industry trends and drive technical innovations
- Provide technical direction within and across groups by leading projects and building systems with company-wide impact
- Champion best practices and innovative techniques for scalability, reliability, and performance optimizations.
- Customer delight! Yes, you will be in charge of ensuring that the customer's experience is seamless. To understand the product, new requirements, and workflows, you must collaborate closely with our Product Managers and Engineering team.
Qualifications
7+ years front-end development experience.The fundamentals : HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Must have an excellent understanding of the browser DOM.You’re a JavaScript expert! Firm grasp of lexical scoping, closures, and OO JavaScript. Proficient in native JavaScript as well as one or more frameworks such as ReactJS, etc.Proven experience designing, building, improving, and operating high-performance, scalable front-end systemsExtensive experience with client-side technologies & modern frameworks (e.g., Javascript, Typescript, React)Experienced in developing mobile APP using react nativeExperienced in building Responsive UIProficient with debugging and testing tools to troubleshoot and optimize the UI.Understanding of accessibility, 508 compliance.Understanding of front-end security best practices and XSS, CSRF, etc.Experienced in building Progressive Web AppsProficiency in modern coding and design practices. For example, Clean Code, SOLID principals, and TDDKnowledge of back-end technologies and how they integrate with front-end systems
