About the Role :
We are seeking an experienced and highly analytical Senior Business Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong business acumen, analytical thinking, and communication skills, with a proven ability to bridge the gap between business needs and technical solutions.
In this role, you will work closely with technology teams, support teams, and clients to gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements, ensuring successful implementation of software solutionsparticularly in the banking and financial services domain.
Key Responsibilities :
Business & System Analysis :
- Act as a liaison between business stakeholders, technical teams, and end-users to gather and clarify requirements.
- Understand, analyze, and translate business requirements into functional specifications and system design documents.
- Develop detailed documentation, including Business Requirement Documents (BRD), Functional Specifications (FS), System Requirement Specifications (SRS), Use Cases, and Process Flow Diagrams.
- Collaborate with clients and internal teams to define user interface (UI) layouts, wireframes, and screen mockups for system enhancements or new modules.
- Perform impact analysis of new requirements and assist in designing solutions that align with system capabilities.
Documentation & Communication :
Prepare and maintain technical documentation, help manuals, and user guides for all projects.Ensure that all requirements are well-documented, version-controlled, and traceable throughout the SDLC.Communicate complex technical information in a clear, concise, and user-friendly manner to non-technical stakeholders.Coordinate with developers and testers to ensure accurate understanding and implementation of business requirements.Quality Assurance & Support :
Participate in system testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and validation of business requirements.Investigate and analyze system or process-related issues, determine root causes, and provide timely resolutions.Provide post-implementation support, ensuring smooth transition and adoption of new systems or functionalities.Support the development of training materials, demonstrations, and implementation activities for end-users and clients.Stakeholder & Project Management :
Collaborate proactively with external clients and internal stakeholders to define project scope, timelines, and deliverables.Manage multiple priorities effectively, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality outputs.Utilize project management principles to coordinate deliverables, track progress, and communicate updates.Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure successful delivery of software solutions within scope and schedule.Innovation & Continuous Improvement :
Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies, tools, and industry trends, particularly within the banking and fintech domains.Evaluate the impact of new technologies on existing systems and recommend solutions for system improvement and migration.Continuously seek opportunities to enhance processes, documentation standards, and stakeholder collaboration.Required Qualifications & Experience :
Bachelors degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field (B.Sc. I.T) with an MBA or MBA in Finance.45 years of experience as a Business Analyst, with a strong focus on system analysis, requirement gathering, and functional design.Proven experience in translating business needs into functional and technical requirements.Exposure to banking and financial applications or enterprise-level software systems preferred.Solid understanding of SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) and software documentation standards.Proficiency in business process modeling, data flow diagrams, and interface design.Hands-on experience with tools like JIRA, Confluence, MS Visio, Figma, or similar for requirement documentation and visualization.(ref : hirist.tech)
