Job Overview
The Assistant Manager – HRBP will serve as a strategic HR partner to business leaders, driving people strategy, engagement, and organizational effectiveness. The role demands a proactive approach in shaping the employee experience, influencing leadership, and executing strategic HR initiatives that align with business goals. The incumbent will manage end-to-end HRBP responsibilities for 400–500 employees across one or more business units.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Partnership & Business Acumen
Partner with business leaders to understand goals, workforce planning needs, and people priorities.
Translate business strategy into actionable HR plans for talent management, productivity, and engagement.
Influence decision-making through data-driven insights and business understanding.
2. People Engagement & Culture Building
Build and sustain strong connect with employees through structured connects, pulse checks, and feedback forums.
Drive initiatives that foster inclusion, belonging, and high-performance culture.
Partner with leadership to design engagement frameworks customized to business needs.
3. Talent Management & Retention
Analyze attrition trends and lead retention interventions across business units.
Drive proactive talent reviews and succession planning discussions with business leaders.
Own exit analysis and ensure insights translate into actionable retention strategies.
4. Performance & Rewards Management
Lead the annual goal-setting, appraisal, and promotion processes, ensuring fairness and alignment to business outcomes.
Collaborate with HR CoEs to ensure effective performance calibration and talent differentiation.
Manage quarterly R&R programs, recognizing high performers and reinforcing a performance-driven culture.
5. HR Analytics & Insights
Deliver people analytics dashboards on engagement, attrition, and talent metrics to drive leadership actions.
Partner with business leaders to identify people trends and craft targeted interventions.
6. HR Projects & Organizational Initiatives
Lead and contribute to enterprise-level HR projects such as diversity, well-being, and leadership development.
Serve as a change champion in driving new HR policies, systems, or processes.
Mentor junior HRBPs and act as a culture ambassador within the organization.
Requirements
5–8 years of progressive HRBP experience in a fast-paced, matrix organization.
Proven ability to manage HRBP responsibilities for 400+ employees independently.
Strong analytical and influencing skills with demonstrated ability to partner with senior stakeholders.
Experience driving HR programs in performance management, employee engagement, and retention.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Educational Qualifications
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
Additional HR certifications (SHRM / HRCI / XLRI / IIM) preferred.
