Job Purpose :
To lead and manage the Credit evaluation and control function , ensuring timely collection of receivables, minimizing credit risk, and maintaining healthy cash flow while supporting business growth and customer relationships
Key Responsibilities :
1. Team management & Governance
- Lead and manage a team of experienced credit controllers across head office and regional offices
- Define and implement credit control procedures (Credit limits, policies) and strategies to manage the divisional credit exposure
- Establish governance mechanisms and define KPIs for performance monitoring of the credit evaluation and control function
2. Cash Flow & Financial Coordination
Liaise with the finance function to ensure healthy cash flow for the division, while driving :ROCE and working capital optimizationReceivables forecasting accuracyReduction in DSO (Days Sales Outstanding)3. Reporting & Analytics
Define and maintain dashboards and reports for leadership, RSMs, and ZSMs to enable data-driven decision-makingPublish relevant reports and factsheets as per leadership requirements, including : Collection performance summaries, Aging analysis , Exception reports4. Operational Oversight
Coach and support the credit evaluation and control team in managing day-to-day activities using the Accounts Receivable solutionExpedite collection of doubtful debts through a defined escalation workflow and timely exception handling
