Job Description :

We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Phlebotomist & Sample Collection Coordinator to join our healthcare operations team. This dual-role position involves collecting biological samples from patients and managing the entire lifecycle of the sample from pickup to timely drop-off at the designated laboratory. The ideal candidate should have a blend of clinical skills and operational awareness to ensure both patient comfort and smooth logistics coordination.

Sample Coordination & Logistics :

Manage scheduling and coordination of sample pickups across different locations.

Ensure safe packaging and storage of samples as per transport guidelines.

Track sample movements in real-time from collection point to laboratory drop.

Coordinate with courier / logistics teams and lab partners for timely transit and delivery.

Handle any delays escalations or discrepancies in sample movement.

Maintain detailed logs and digital records of all sample-related activities.

Key Responsibilities :

Sample Receipt and Verification : Receiving specimens verifying patient information against laboratory requisitions and ensuring proper labeling.

Data Entry and Documentation : Accurately entering patient and specimen information into the laboratory information system (LIS).

Specimen Processing : Preparing specimens for testing including aliquoting centrifugation and storage.

Record Keeping : Maintaining accurate and organized records of all accessioning activities.

Quality Control : Ensuring adherence to laboratory protocols and quality standards throughout the accessioning process.

Coordination : Collaborating with other laboratory staff to resolve any discrepancies or issues with samples or data.

Following Safety Procedures : Adhering to all laboratory safety guidelines and procedures.

Requirements :

Good understanding of infection control and biomedical waste handling.

Comfortable using basic technology tools (mobile apps spreadsheets) for tracking and updates.

Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly with patients logistics staff and lab teams.

Ability to travel locally for home sample collection if required.
