We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Manager MME HBEU Credit and Risk

Business : Risk & Compliance

Principal Responsibilities

• To contribute to the credit approval process by providing concise, well-reasoned approvals (and Declines) within appropriate time scales.
• Be responsible for implementing credit risk policies, procedures and standards set out in the GSM, Credit & Risk BIM and Global Wholesale Risk FIM
• Be responsible for managing and mitigating operational risks in their day to day operations. In executing these responsibilities, the Group has adopted risk management and internal control structure referred to as the 'Three Lines of Defence'. The jobholder should ensure they understand their position within the Three Lines of Defence, and act accordingly in line with operational risk policy, escalating in a timely manner where they are unsure of actions required
• To ensure all Basel 2 / 3 regulations are enacted as 'Business as Usual' by adhering to the banks agreed processes / procedures and achieving a satisfactory Audit report
• To contribute to the profitability of the HSBC Group and minimise loan losses by ensuring when reviewing proposals, that they meet the HSBC Group's risk appetite and that risk is minimised and returns maximized
• To maintain HSBC internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators
