Job descriptionISS Delivery provides the design and delivery of all changes in processes and / or technology solutions that support the growth for Fidelity's Global Investment Solutions & Services business (ISS). We support Investment Management, Asset Management Operations and Distribtion team primarily located in London, Hong Kong, Tokyo, Toronto, Australia, Singapore and China. We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager for Data Engineering to lead, grow, and inspire our team of data engineers. This role focuses on building a high-performing engineering culture, ensuring timely and reliable delivery of robust data solutions, and aligning the team's work with organizational priorities. While technical knowledge provides context, the emphasis is on leadership, delivery management, and stakeholder engagement. Strategic Impact As an Engineering Manager, you will directly contribute to our key organizational objectives : . Cost Efficiency. Improve productivity through automating routine maintenance tasks. Decrease time to deliver continuous improvement initiatives. Optimize infrastructure costs through efficient database design. Improve system documentation and knowledge transfer. Increase automated testing coverage. Enhance system and location resiliency. Team Leadership : Lead, mentor, and coach a team of data engineers, fostering career growth and high performance. Delivery Management : Own delivery timelines, scope, and outcomes for engineering projects, ensuring commitments are met with quality and consistency. Stakeholder Engagement : Partner with business stakeholders, product managers, and technology leaders to define priorities, set realistic expectations, and provide transparent updates. Strategic Alignment : Translate business objectives into actionable team goals, balancing short-term project delivery with long-term platform evolution. Operational Excellence : Establish and enforce standards for delivery, documentation, quality, and reliability across all projects. Cross-Functional Collaboration : Build strong relationships with Data Architecture, Product, and Cloud teams to ensure solutions align with enterprise-wide strategy. Change & Modernization : Oversee migration and modernization initiatives, ensuring seamless delivery and minimal disruption to business operations. 7+ years of experience in data or software engineering, with at least 2+ years in a leadership or management role. Demonstrated success in leading teams to deliver business-critical projects on time and within scope. Strong stakeholder management skills, with experience in communicating timelines, trade-offs, and decisions across technical and non-technical audiences. Proven ability to prioritize competing demands, manage dependencies, and drive alignment across multiple teams.
