Business Development Manager GIS

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven GIS Sales Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving sales growth and expanding market share for our Geographic Information System (GIS) products and services. This role requires a deep understanding of GIS technologies, excellent sales acumen, and the ability to build and maintain strong client relationships. Depending on experience and performance, the role offers growth opportunities from executive to managerial responsibilities.

Location : Noida.

Key Responsibility :

Direct Sales & Business Development :

  • Drive direct sales and manage relationships with existing clients to meet and exceed sales targets.
  • Develop new business opportunities and acquire new clients in the geospatial market within the Indian subcontinent.
  • Create and execute a Go-to-Market strategy for a targeted account list.

Government & PSU Engagements :

  • Build strong relationships with government bodies, PSUs, and funding agencies for proactive sales and engagement.
  • Represent the company in external forums, conferences, and panels to strengthen industry presence.
  • Strategic Planning & Execution :

  • Develop and implement strategic business plans to expand market share and revenue.
  • Identify customer needs, market trends, and competitive landscapes to position GIS solutions effectively.
  • Provide actionable market feedback to executive management and identify growth opportunities.
  • Pipeline & Sales Process Management :

  • Actively manage and maintain a strong, qualified sales pipeline with high conversion potential.
  • Execute the complete sales process from lead capture to deal closure, ensuring client analysis, qualification, presentation, and proposals are handled effectively.
  • Relationship Management :

  • Develop strong rapport with clients, business partners, and internal stakeholders.
  • Identify potential strategic alliances and partnerships to increase the deployment of GIS solutions.
  • Engage with CXO-level executives to present the companys portfolio of offerings.
  • Reporting & Forecasting :

  • Use internal sales tracking tools to document all sales activity and generate pipeline visibility reports for stakeholders.
  • Prepare rolling forecasts and budgets for revenue, profitability, and order Bachelors / Masters degree in Business, Geospatial Science, Engineering, or related fields.
  • 8+ years of proven experience in domestic sales, selling geospatial services to government bodies, PSUs, and funding agencies.
  • Strong understanding of the GIS industry, market trends, and opportunities.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute multi-faceted go-to-market strategies.
  • Proven track record of exceeding sales revenue targets and closing complex deals.
  • Expertise in creating compelling proposals and commercial models.
  • Exceptional networking and business development skills with a focus on executive leadership relationships.
  • Ability to represent the company at industry forums and conferences.
  • Strong sales negotiation skills and ability to manage pursuit strategies targeting senior executives.
  • Willingness to travel frequently to meet customers, partners, and execution teams.
  • Creative, optimistic, collaborative, and customer-obsessed mindset.
