Technical Lead (Associate Director) - Tax Product Development

BDO RISE is looking for a Technical Lead (Associate Director) - Tax Product Development in Bangalore / Hyderabad who will be providing technical leadership for the firm's global tax technology platform, driving architecture, design, and delivery with an emphasis on cloud technologies, data strategy, and AI adoption . The role involves leading and mentoring product engineering teams, collaborating with tax professionals and product managers to translate business needs into scalable, client-centric tax software solutions, and ensuring the development of high-quality, innovative cloud-based tax products for various tax service lines.

Job Duties

Tax Technology Business Strategy

Oversee the architecture, design, and implementation of cloud-based tax solutions, with a strong focus on scalable cloud architecture, data strategy, and AI adoption.

Collaborates with the product management team to develop and execute a strategic technology roadmap in alignment with company goals, ensuring the delivery of high-quality solutions

Defines and maintains the standards, processes and procedures necessary to maintain product quality and deliver expected business capabilities and value

Deep technical leadership experience, particularly with enterprise-grade platforms

Strong expertise in cloud technologies, data strategy, and modern software engineering principles.

Experience working within Agile teams focused on software and data engineering solutions.

Ability to own end-to-end delivery of features and systems, from technical requirements to deployment.

Proven experience in building and leading technical teams and mentoring junior engineers.

Experience :

Experience delivering multinational technology solutions, preferred

Experience interacting with client business leaders and IT personnel, preferred

Experience working with a multinational remote team, preferred

Experience developing and launching successful enterprise and / or SAAS products in the tax or accounting industry, preferred

Extensive understanding of software architecture and engineering principles and patterns (e.g., microservices, serverless), preferred

Experience with Agile and Waterfall development methodologies, preferred

Experience managing projects in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, preferred

Familiarity with Tax software and tools

Microsoft Azure and Dynamics based product development experience, preferred.

Artificial Intelligence technologies, including GenAI and solution design and development using AI, preferred

Experience in a professional services firm, preferred

Software :

Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, preferred

Extensive knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), ChatGPT (or similar) DevOps practices, CI / CD pipelines, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and database technologies (SQL, NoSQL), preferred

Expertise in multiple programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, C#, .NET, JavaScript / TypeScript) and frameworks, preferred

Expertise in Azure DevOps and ServiceNow, preferred
