Job Title : Head of Quality Management System (QMS)

Position Summary :
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional as the Head of Quality Management System (QMS). The ideal candidate will have an extensive background in managing and implementing quality management systems with deep expertise in ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and IATF 16949. Experience in forging manufacturing is a must, with a proven track record of enhancing quality processes and driving continuous improvements within a production environment.
Key Responsibilities :
Leadership and Strategy :
- Lead and oversee the entire Quality Management System (QMS) for the organization, ensuring compliance with industry standards such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and IATF 16949.
- Develop and implement quality policies, objectives, and strategies aligned with the company’s goals and customer requirements.
- Work closely with senior management to develop a culture of quality across the organization.
ISO Certification and Compliance :
Maintain and improve certifications for ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and IATF 16949, ensuring all audits (internal and external) are successfully managed and passed.Lead and coordinate the preparation and participation in third-party audits.Ensure full compliance with all relevant environmental, health and safety, and quality standards.Continuous Improvement and Risk Management :
Drive continuous improvement initiatives, focusing on reducing waste, improving efficiency, and increasing productivity across all manufacturing processes.Implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) based on audits, customer feedback, and internal analysis.Oversee risk management procedures to identify and address potential quality issues before they escalate.Team Management and Development :
Manage and develop a team of quality professionals, providing guidance, training, and performance management to ensure they are fully aligned with QMS goals.Promote cross-functional collaboration to address quality concerns and improve processes across departments such as production, R&D, and engineeringReporting and Documentation :
Prepare and present regular reports on QMS performance, quality KPIs, audit results, and improvement initiatives to senior leadership.Ensure comprehensive documentation of all QMS processes, audits, non-conformities, and improvement projects.Education :
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
Experience : Minimum of 10 years of experience in quality management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within the forging industry.
Extensive experience with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and IATF 16949 certification and compliance.Proven track record in leading quality initiatives and continuous improvement projects in manufacturing environmentsStrong experience with internal and external audits, risk management, and corrective actions in a forging environment.Skills :
In-depth knowledge of quality management systems and international standards (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and IATF 16949).Strong leadership and team management abilities.Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.Proficiency in quality tools such as root cause analysis, failure mode effects analysis (FMEA), statistical process control (SPC), and six sigma methodologies.Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively with various stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and internal teams.Certifications :Certified Lead Auditor for ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and IATF 16949 is preferred.Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or Black Belt) is a plus.Budget up to 9 lacs
