Role Overview
Elenjical Solutions is seeking a Murex Back Office & Accounting / Finance Consultant to implement and support client solutions. This client-facing role focuses primarily on Post-Trade Processing, Settlements, Confirmations, and accounting functionalities within Murex. The ideal candidate should have extensive hands-on experience in testing and QA functions in Murex Back Office and Accounting modules.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, design, and execute end-to-end testing of Murex Back Office modules, including Settlements, Confirmations, Static Data, and Finance / Accounting Management.
- Validate post-trade processing workflows and ensure configurations meet business and functional requirements.
- Verify SWIFT messaging and confirmation templates to ensure correct setup and message flows.
- Conduct regression, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT) for Back Office and Accounting-related functionalities.
- Collaborate with clients, business analysts, and developers to identify defects, clarify requirements, and validate fixes.
- Develop and maintain detailed test cases, test plans, and traceability matrices.
- Document and report test results, defects, and overall system quality metrics.
Required Skills and Technical Experience
Murex Back Office Testing Expertise (Minimum 5 years’ experience)Strong understanding of MX.3 Back Office modules :Settlement and Payment workflowsConfirmation generation and managementStatic Data management (SSI, accounts, calendars)Reconciliation processesExperience in validating Back Office configurations and workflows.Technical Skills
Hands-on experience using MXpress and Murex testing tools.Familiarity with MXML for validating message structures and transformations.Ability to use SQL for data validation and reconciliation testing.Understanding of batch processing, scheduler jobs, and end-of-day test cycles.Working knowledge of technologies such as MXML, MDML, FIX, MQ, XML / XSLT, and shell scripting for test automation or validation.Proficiency with Oracle and Sybase databases for data verification.Financial Knowledge
Solid understanding of post-trade processing lifecycle and related workflows.Awareness of settlement and clearing mechanisms.Knowledge of Finance management practices and accounting processes.Familiarity with market standards for confirmations and settlements.Testing & QA Skills
Strong experience in preparing test plans, test cases, and automated scripts.Expertise in defect tracking, root cause analysis, and quality reporting.Experience in performance and regression testing for Murex systems.Exposure to Agile / Scrum testing methodologies.Communication & Collaboration Skills
Excellent English proficiency for client and team communication.Ability to document and explain testing outcomes clearly.Skilled in coordinating with multiple stakeholders (business, development, support teams).Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Support StructureThe consultant will work within a team of Back Office specialists, collaborating on client implementations and support. Regular knowledge-sharing sessions ensure the team stays updated on best practices in post-trade processing and accounting / finance management.The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Murex Back Office modules and Accounting Management, with a proven track record of successful implementations.
