Role Overview
We are seeking a dynamic, strategic, and commercially minded leader to join our agency as a Business Head. This role is ideal for someone who can confidently drive client relationships at the highest level while shaping the business, growing revenue, and ensuring the delivery of exceptional creative work.
Key Responsibilities
Business Leadership & Growth
- Own the commercial performance of key accounts and drive revenue growth, profitability, and long-term business sustainability.
- Identify new business opportunities across existing and prospective clients; lead pitches and proposal development.
- Shape the business strategy for the unit, including forecasting, planning, and resource allocation.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to define agency positioning, service offerings, and competitive advantage.
- Build and nurture partnerships with clients, industry collaborators, and internal agency teams to strengthen the agency’s market presence.
Client Strategy & Relationship Leadership
Serve as the senior point of contact for major clients, building trust, understanding business challenges, and proactively identifying opportunities for creative and strategic solutions.Lead strategic planning for client accounts, ensuring clarity of objectives, insight-driven thinking, and integrated communication planning.Translate client needs into clear briefs and guide the creative, strategy, and production teams throughout project development.Ensure outstanding delivery of campaigns across channels—digital, social, content, brand, experiential, and advertising.Manage client expectations, negotiate scopes, timelines, and budgets while maintaining profitability and high-quality standards.Team Leadership & Operational Excellence
Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team, fostering a culture of creativity, accountability, and collaboration.Ensure smooth workflow across teams, resolving issues proactively and maintaining a high operational standard.Support talent development, skills growth, and succession planning within the client services team.Monitor account performance through KPIs, reporting, and ongoing analysis to improve outcomes and efficiency.Requirements
Experience
10+ years of experience in advertising, mainline creative agencies , or integrated marketing.Proven track record of managing major accounts and leading multi-channel campaigns.Experience in business development, P&L management, and strategic business planning.Skills & Competencies
Exceptional relationship-building and communication skills.Strong strategic and commercial acumen; ability to translate business challenges into creative opportunities.Comfortable navigating complex client organizations and managing C-suite level conversations.Deep understanding of branding, digital ecosystems, media, and integrated marketing.Proven leadership, team management, and mentoring capabilities.Highly organized, adaptable, and solutions-focused.About Yellow Straw
