We are seeking a driven Purchase Executive – Capex to join our expanding procurement team and support Capex, project-based sourcing, and maintenance operations.
Role Summary :
The Purchase Senior Executive / Assistant Manager will be responsible for sourcing and purchasing capital equipment, engineering spares, packaging materials, and intermediates, ensuring uninterrupted operations and timely project execution. This role requires hands-on experience in greenfield project procurement, vendor management, and cross-functional collaboration with production, engineering, and quality teams.
Key Responsibilities :
- Manage procurement of Capex items, maintenance spares, MROs, and plant utilities
- Support procurement activities for greenfield / brownfield expansion projects
- Purchase raw materials, packaging materials, and intermediates for production
- Identify, evaluate, and develop relationships with new and existing suppliers
- Negotiate prices, contracts, delivery schedules, and payment terms
- Maintain optimal inventory levels while ensuring material availability
- Coordinate with production, quality, engineering, and warehouse teams
- Monitor supplier performance and resolve any material supply issues
- Maintain purchase records, cost sheets, and procurement KPIs
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, budgets, and quality standards
Requirements :
Experience : 5–7 years in purchase, procurement, or supply chain (Capex / greenfield project experience preferred)Education : Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or Supply Chain ManagementSkills :
Strong negotiation and vendor development capabilitiesFamiliarity with engineering components, Capex planning, and project sourcingProficiency in ERP systems, procurement tools, and Microsoft OfficeExcellent coordination, communication, and analytical skillsAbility to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
