Candidate Profile - Head of Operations (Edgistify)

We are seeking a seasoned operations leader with 10+ years of experience in warehousing, supply chain, and 3PL operations, including 5+ years in leadership roles. The ideal candidate must bring proven expertise in managing multi-location warehouses, driving process excellence, and ensuring client satisfaction through scalable operational models.

The role requires a professional with strong strategic mindset and on-ground execution skills, who can balance process optimization, people leadership, and client management. Prior experience with WMS, automation, audits, and large-scale operational transformations is highly desirable.

Preferred candidates will hold a master's degree in supply chain, Logistics, or Operations, with Lean Six Sigma / PMP certifications as an added advantage.

Job Description - Head of Operations

Location : Thane, Maharashtra

Experience : 10+ years (with 5+ years in leadership roles)

Industry : Warehousing & Supply Chain, 3PL

Role Summary :

As Head of Operations, you will be responsible for leading and optimizing Edgistify's end-to-end warehouse operations across multiple locations. This leadership role is critical in driving efficiency, scalability, and profitability, while ensuring operational excellence, client delight, and compliance.

Key Leadership :

  • Oversee inbound, storage, outbound, inventory, and transportation across all warehouses.
  • Drive process standardization, cost optimization, and efficiency improvements.
  • Enforce SOP adherence and implement warehouse best practices.

Strategic Planning & Execution :

  • Build and implement strategies for scalable and profitable operations.
  • Lead expansion and capability enhancement initiatives.
  • Use data, KPIs, and analytics to enable continuous improvement.
  • Client & Vendor Management :

  • Ensure smooth client onboarding and SLA adherence.
  • Build strong relationships with 3PL vendors, transporters, and service providers.
  • Handle escalations with quick and solution-oriented responses.
  • Team & Performance Management :

  • Lead and mentor a large, multi-location operations team.
  • Define KPIs, review performance, and instil accountability.
  • Promote a culture of safety, ownership, and excellence.
  • Compliance & Risk Management :

  • Ensure compliance with all statutory, safety, and environmental norms.
  • Conduct audits to maintain stock accuracy and inventory control.
  • Proactively drive risk assessments and mitigation plans.

    Key Requirements :

  • 10+ years of experience in warehouse operations; 5+ years in leadership roles.
  • Prior experience in 3PL operations and multi-location warehouse management.
  • Strong expertise in WMS, automation, inventory controls, and SOP design.
  • Exceptional leadership, problem-solving, and client management skills.
  • Preferred : Master's degree (SCM / Logistics / Operations), Lean Six Sigma / PMP certifications.
