Sales & Partnership Manager – Microsoft Consulting, MS Data and AI Solutions
(Location - Hyderabad or Mumbai)
About the Role
We are looking for a highly experienced Senior Sales Manager – Microsoft Consulting Solutions to drive business growth across Microsoft Dynamics 365, Azure Services, M365, Power Platform, Azure Data & AI, Data Governance, Microsoft-centric Product Engineering services and industry solutions around MS.
The ideal candidate has strong experience selling Microsoft-aligned solutions, deep relationships with Microsoft Partner Managers, PDMs (Partner Development Managers), ISV alliances, and a track record of building pipelines, winning enterprise deals, and driving co-sell motions in India, Middle East and the USA.
In this role you will help shape and scale our Microsoft Practice, collaborate with Microsoft field teams, and close high-value enterprise accounts.
Key Responsibilities
1. Sales & Business Development
- Own end-to-end sales cycle for Microsoft consulting services across D365, Azure Cloud, Azure Data & AI, Data Governance, M365, Power Platform, and MS Tech Product Engineering.
- Identify, pursue, and close opportunities in India, USA, and Middle East markets.
- Build and manage a strong pipeline aligned with quarterly and annual revenue goals.
- Lead proposal creation, solution positioning, pricing, and contract negotiations.
2. Microsoft Partnership & Co-Sell
Work closely with Microsoft Partner Managers, PDMs, Azure Specialists, and ISV teams to create joint GTM motions.Execute Microsoft Marketplace, Co-Sell, and Incentive Programs to accelerate deal closures.Leverage Microsoft funding programs (ECIF, FastTrack, PoC credits, workshops) to support client acquisition.Drive competency alignment and Microsoft Solution Partner qualifications (Azure, Data & AI, Business Applications, Security).3. Client Engagement & Enterprise Relationship Management
Build deep CXO-level relationships (CIO, CTO, CDO, IT Heads, Business Leaders).Understand customer business priorities and recommend Microsoft-led transformation programs.Position WalkingTree as a strategic Microsoft partner across cloud and apps modernization.4. Solutioning & Internal Collaboration
Work with Delivery, Pre-Sales, Architects, and Practice Heads to design high-quality proposals and SoWs.Contribute to building reusable assets, accelerators, and Microsoft-specific offerings.Support marketing and thought leadership initiatives for the Microsoft practice.5. Market Expansion & GTM Strategy
Develop expansion strategies for Azure Data & AI, Dynamics 365, Power Platform, Modern Work, and Cloud Transformation services.Identify industry verticals such as BFSI, Healthcare, Retail, Real Estate, Manufacturing, and Govt. that are ripe for MS-led digital transformation.Provide continuous market intelligence on competition, pricing, and customer trends.Required Skills & Experience
15+ years of experience in IT services sales with at least 6–8 years focused on Microsoft consulting solutions.Proven history of selling Microsoft Dynamics 365 (CE, F&O, BC), M365 & Modern Workplace, Azure Cloud Services, Azure Data Engineering, Data Lake, Data Governance, Azure AI, Copilots, Azure OpenAI service, AI modernization, Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BIShould have an ability to sell Product Engineering & Application Modernization on Microsoft stackMicrosoft Ecosystem Expertise
Deep understanding of Microsoft’s ecosystem, partner programs, co-sell motions, and incentive structures.Prior experience collaborating with Microsoft Partner Managers & PDMs, Azure & D365 Specialists and ISV teamsMicrosoft Field Sellers (USA + India)Experience driving funded engagements (ECIF, AMMP, Solution Assessments, App Modernization).Sales Capability
Strong enterprise sales skills : prospecting → discovery → demo coordination → solutioning → negotiation → closure.Ability to manage large RFPs, handle multi-stakeholder deals, and drive high-value transformation opportunities.Track record of achieving $5M–$15M+ annual sales quotas.Soft Skills
Excellent communication, presentation, and storytelling skills for CXO audiences.Strong consultative selling approach with ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.High ownership, self-driven, and comfortable working in a growth-stage environment.Qualifications
Bachelor’s in Engineering or related technical field (MBA preferred).Certifications in Microsoft fundamentals or sales (nice to have) :Microsoft Cloud Sales Enablement around Azure Fundamentals / Data Fundamentals, Power Platform Fundamentals, Dynamics 365 Fundamentals, etc.
