    The essence of the role

    As a System Administrator (Linux / Infrastructure) at Sinch, you will be responsible for managing, monitoring, and maintaining the infrastructure that powers our mission-critical systems and services. You will ensure the highest levels of system uptime, performance, and reliability while driving automation and security initiatives. This role involves cross-functional collaboration with IT, Product, and Engineering teams to ensure seamless service delivery.

    • Own the Axiom platform - including day-to-day configuration, health checks, playbooks, reporting, troubleshooting and incident resolution & RCA mgmt.
    • Build and maintain Axiom systems, lifecycle plan, log management, purging, alerting.
    • Train and support users across global teams, ensuring strong adoption and a consistent experience.
    • Continuously optimize usability and impact based on feedback, usage insights, and evolving business needs.
    • 4+ years of hands-on Linux Application & System support experience.

    • Manage, monitor, and maintain all installed systems, servers, and infrastructure.
    • Proactively ensure the highest levels of system uptime, performance, and reliability.
    • Implement and maintain security, backup, and redundancy strategies .
    • Liaise with clients, vendors, and internal IT teams for issue resolution and performance improvements.
    • Resolve support tickets through the ITSM portal and address technical queries as per defined SLAs and requirements.
    • Install, configure, and maintain operating systems , application software , and system management tools .
    • Write and maintain automation scripts to enhance efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
    • Troubleshoot complex OS, network, and application-level issues .
    • Proven experience in Linux system administration (installation, configuration, troubleshooting).
    • Strong understanding of database management and monitoring - MySQL, MongoDB, Redis.
    • Experience with Nagios or other monitoring tools (configuration and alert setup preferred).
    • Solid understanding of network fundamentals - OSI layers, TCP / IP, routing, and switching.
    • Working knowledge of SQL and relational databases (MySQL, Oracle).
    • Hands-on experience with Redis Cluster configuration and support.
    • Scripting skills in Bash, Python , or similar languages (for automation and monitoring).
