Role Overview
We are looking to hire an Audit Engagement Leader for our US Assurance Team based in Ahmedabad. The role primarily involves leading and executing US GAAP audit assignments in accordance with PCAOB standards.
Roles And Responsibilities
- Lead and manage audit engagements for public companies and other issuers in accordance with US GAAP and PCAOB standards.
- Liaise with the Engagement Quality Reviewer (EQR) to ensure compliance with audit quality and documentation standards.
- Supervise, guide, and review the work of the engagement team to ensure accuracy, consistency, and audit quality.
- Maintain regular communication with clients to discuss audit progress, key findings, and issue resolution.
- Prepare and review comprehensive working papers documenting procedures and conclusions at both financial statement and assertion levels.
- Evaluate internal controls, accounting policies, and financial reporting practices to identify and address audit risks.
- Ensure timely completion of audits while maintaining the highest standards of professional integrity and quality.
- Mentor and develop team members, fostering technical growth and adherence to firm and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
Strong communication skills and confidence in English are required, as the role involves regular client interaction.Proactive and self-motivated with the ability to work independently and resolve issues effectively.Working knowledge of audit methodologies, preferably with experience in US GAAP audits.ACCA qualified member (or equivalent) with international audit experience, or ACCA students / affiliates with a minimum of 2 years of audit experience (as part of 3 years training towards membership).Willingness to work from our Ahmedabad office.Skills Required
