Content Strategist – Clayco

Role Summary

We’re looking for a content strategist + storyteller who can turn Clayco’s skincare rituals and ingredient stories into viral, scroll-stopping, and high-conversion content.

This person will own the end-to-end content process — from ideation, scripting, and shot planning to direction, editing supervision, and platform strategy across Instagram, YouTube, and paid ads.

Key Responsibilities

Creative & Content Strategy

Conceptualize brand-led storytelling and viral social media content — reels, campaigns, and ad creatives.

Write scene-by-scene scripts for reels, founder videos, and ad films with clear emotion arcs and visual direction.

Develop monthly content calendars in alignment with brand campaigns and product launches.

Collaborate with performance team to align storytelling with campaign KPIs (CTR, retention, ROAS).

Production & Direction

Give creative direction on shoots — framing, tone, wardrobe, set design, and transitions.

Work closely with video editors, photographers, and creators to bring scripts to life with strong visual grammar.

Build and manage a roster of creators and influencers for UGC and co-created storytelling.

Performance & Optimization

Analyze what’s working across competitors and global beauty brands to build Clayco’s unique content voice.

Track content performance metrics (views, saves, engagement, watch time, conversion).

Run experiments weekly — hooks, angles, formats, and storytelling devices to improve virality.

Brand & Culture

Keep brand storytelling consistent with Clayco’s voice — minimalist, sensorial, global-J-beauty-inspired yet relatable.

Ideate seasonal campaigns, topical moments, and product storytelling series.

Requirements

3–7 years of experience in content strategy / creative direction / digital storytelling for beauty, fashion, or lifestyle brands.

Deep understanding of what makes content viral — storytelling beats, pacing, and hook mechanics.

Strong copywriting and scripting ability.

Familiar with shoot direction and editing flow (capcut / premiere reference cuts preferred).

Collaborative with design, media buying, and brand teams.
