The candidate should be conversant in identifying and controlling foreseeable HSE risks.
Experience in preparing Design Safety Basis, selection of risk management measures of precedence, and the concepts of :
- Inherently safer design (elimination or reduction of hazards);
- Prevention (design to avoid hazards);
- Control (design measures to control hazards);
- Mitigation (design measures to minimise consequences); and finally,
- Emergency response.
