Role Overview :
The Domain Solution Architect is responsible for designing and defining end-to-end solutions within a specific business domain (e.g., Payments, Logistics, Retail, etc.). The role involves translating business requirements into scalable, secure, and maintainable technical architectures, ensuring alignment with enterprise standards and driving innovation within the domain.
Key Responsibilities :
- Architect domain-specific solutions covering applications, data, and integration layers.
- Define logical and physical architectures, data flows, and system interfaces.
- Translate business and functional requirements into technical solution designs.
- Provide architectural oversight and guidance to development and delivery teams.
- Establish and enforce architecture principles, patterns, and governance.
- Evaluate emerging technologies, tools, and practices relevant to the domain.
- Ensure scalability, performance, maintainability, and security across solutions.
- Collaborate with business, product, and technology stakeholders for solution alignment.
- Contribute to the continuous evolution of architecture standards and best practices.
Required Qualifications & Experience :
10+ years of experience in solution architecture, preferably within a specific domain (e.g., Payments, Banking, Logistics, Retail, etc.).Deep domain knowledge combined with technical breadth across applications, integration, and data architectures.Hands-on experience with microservices, API-led integration, cloud platforms (GCP / AWS / Azure), and data management.Strong understanding of security, scalability, and performance design principles.Proven ability to define and implement architecture governance and standards.Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills.Desirable Skills :
Experience with domain-driven design (DDD) and event-driven architectures (EDA).Familiarity with enterprise integration patterns, API management platforms (e.g., Apigee, MuleSoft), and service mesh.Exposure to DevOps, CI / CD, and observability frameworks.Knowledge of industry trends and regulatory requirements within the specific domain.
