What You ll Do on a Typical Day :
This position is somewhat time-flexible but does require overlapping hours with North American leadership time zones.
- Provide Workday programming expertise as part of a Workday Integrations team which is expected to develop, monitor, support and enhance about 100 integrations, RAAS reporting and internal system data flow.
- Understand the end-to-end data flow for assigned integrations (from Workday to 3rd parties and vice-versa), including performing hands-on Workday configuration and code updates as necessary so that integrations running across multiple technologies deliver the required business outcomes.
- Ensure Amex GBT s approximately 30 global payroll integrations, which are primarily based on PECI and PICOF, are developed according to Workday best practices, minimize ongoing maintenance needs, and run efficiently / effectively with the end result of paying all Amex GBT employees correctly
- Develop, build, test and deploy new integrations leveraging leading-edge technologies to facilitate good business outcomes and position Amex GBT to meet future requirements
- Understand and provide input on integrating Workday into the larger Enterprise Architecture for the organization (SSO, IP whitelisting, toolset changes, PGP Privacy)
- Understand data governance and security
- Participate in Agile Integration development that focuses on accuracy and integrity of data and applications through analysis, coding, clear documentation and problem resolution
- Design and develop interfaces and conduct unit and integration tests
- Perform integration regression testing
What We re Looking For :
Bachelor s Degree in relevant technical field (Information Technology, Computer Science, Software, Engineering or related technical discipline) or equivalent combination of training and work experience with 4 plus years with strong Workday Studio development experience and Payroll integrations with a focus on PECI experience .Demonstrated experience with Workday development tool sets : Enterprise Interface Builder (EIB), Workday Studio, Workday Report Writer, Studio BIRT Module).Strong technical experience with XSLT. Object-oriented development including Java is helpful.Experience with APIs and Web Services standards (WSDL, SOAP, REST)Experience integrating Workday Time & Absence to 3rd party systems is helpful.An interest in extending Workday with tools such as Workday Cloud Platform is helpfulAbility to work and coordinate with third parties on integration related inquiries including testing and communication.Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with team members and leadershipCandidate should be flexible with night shifts.Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and to adapt to frequent change while maintaining focused calm in the face of challengesSkills Required
