Job Title : Manager – Application Development & Systems

Reports to : Head – Information Technology

Experience Required : 15+ years of experience in software development, with at least 5 years in a management or leadership role. Proven experience managing teams of 10–15 developers and hands-on expertise in modern programming languages.

Educational Qualifications :

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.

Work Location : Nayanta University, CDSA Campus, Paud Road, Bavdhan, Pune, Maharashtra

Nature and Days of Work : Full-time (5 Days working, Monday – Friday)

Key Responsibilities

Hire, lead, and manage a team of 10–15 software developers, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance feedback.

Oversee the full software development lifecycle, including planning, design, development, testing, and deployment.

Act as a hands-on developer, contributing to system architecture, code reviews, and complex feature development.

Collaborate with third-party System Integrators and vendors to ensure project goals are achieved.

Define and implement best practices for coding standards, development methodologies (Agile, Scrum), and project management.

Work with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.

Ensure security, scalability, and performance of all applications.

Stay updated with emerging technologies and recommend innovative solutions.

Preferred Skills & Qualities

Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Hands-on expertise in programming languages such as Java, Python, C#, and related frameworks / databases.

Experience managing external vendors and System Integrators.

Knowledge of educational technology platforms and systems.

Problem-solving mindset with strong analytical ability.

Experience in an educational institution is a significant plus.
